Chanyoen Park

Researcher

Chanyeon is interested in elucidating complex biological phenomena through a NGS-driven approach. He became interested in epigenomics through the fundamental question of why cells in the human body, despite sharing the same DNA, acquire distinct identities and functions. He has conducted data-driven research based on experience with diverse NGS analyses and is particularly interested in the integrative interpretation of biological data, including not only genomic information but also molecular and cellular biology data more broadly.

His research has focused on epigenetic regulatory mechanisms such as enhancer and chromatin structure. Building on this background, he is interested in how cellular identity is defined and maintained, and how its erosion or loss leads to changes at the tissue and organism levels.

He is motivated by the goal of contributing to the expansion and advancement of human knowledge through biological science research, and finds great joy and fulfillment in being part of this process.
