Junyong is deeply interested in approaching fundamental questions about human existence through life science. In particular, he is drawn to aging as a universal yet unresolved biological phenomenon, and he hopes to contribute to improving quality of life and healthspan by understanding its underlying mechanisms.
Since high school, he has seriously contemplated why humans age and die, which led him to explore the potential of biotechnology. Among the various mechanisms of aging, he is especially fascinated by how epigenetic changes can lead to the loss of cellular identity and functional decline, and he seeks to investigate aging interventions based on this framework.
Although he is still in the early stages of building expertise, he is eager to learn from fellow researchers and gradually refine his own scientific questions. Through his experience in the lab, Junyong aims to develop a deeper perspective on biological processes and ultimately become a researcher who can make meaningful contributions to science and society.
